AQI Lahore Health Advisory - What Today's Air Quality Means for You

Based on Lahore's current AQI reading, Lahore's AQI today is 140 (Moderate).

AQI Lahore Advisory for Vulnerable Groups

Certain groups are more sensitive to changes in Lahore's air quality and should take extra precautions even when the AQI is in the moderate range. Follow the guidance below alongside the current AQI Lahore reading at the top of this page.

Children
Children breathe faster than adults and spend more time outdoors, increasing their exposure to pollutants. Limit outdoor play and sports practice when AQI is Moderate or higher, and keep an eye out for coughing, wheezing, or unusual fatigue.
Elderly individuals
Older adults are more prone to pollution-related heart and lung complications. Reduce time spent outdoors during elevated AQI periods and avoid early morning walks when pollution tends to be higher.
People with asthma or respiratory conditions
Elevated AQI can trigger asthma attacks or worsen COPD symptoms. Keep prescribed inhalers or medication accessible, and avoid outdoor exertion when Lahore's AQI crosses into the Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups range or above.
People with heart disease
Poor air quality is linked to increased risk of chest pain, irregular heartbeat, and other cardiac symptoms. Limit physical exertion outdoors and monitor for symptoms like shortness of breath or chest tightness.
Pregnant women
Prolonged exposure to high pollution levels has been linked to health risks for both mother and baby. Minimize outdoor exposure during high-AQI periods and consult a doctor if experiencing breathing difficulty.
Outdoor workers
Those working outdoors (construction, traffic police, delivery riders) face prolonged pollutant exposure. Use N95 masks where possible and take indoor breaks during peak pollution hours, typically early morning and late evening.
